The local chennai boys did it again - there is only one king !

We are back !

As I told, there will only be one king and that’s the Chennai Super Kings

The prayer and support of 6 crore tamilians, the accurate bowling of Balaji and batting extravaganza by Badrinath and Dhoni, Punjab Kings were crushed down to pieces yesterday !

Yuvraj and Preity seemed to be worried and heartbroken after the loss, that they didn’t even bother to face the cameras. Yuvraj had a bitter face on the cameras.

Balaji had a wonderful spell, with a hat trick and two other wickets, what a game. He thanked all the supporters who helped him come back after the back injury and a not so good two years. The local chennai boy found grace in his homeland.

Chennai Super Kings gained the much needed momentum after yesterdays match and is now back on a winning spree. Watch out jujubees !

  • Do you think-Today the Mumbai Indians is going to face the same fate? I think so… Although Tendulkar is going to captain them. Dhoni will give them fitting reply…

Hai guys. We have been beaten by Mumbai. Its happen due to poor Opening batting. Our opener has to FIRE a lot. Why don’t we try with Patel and Vidyut as opener. And keep the in-form fleming on bench for a couple of matches.:-) try with nitini instead of kupugedra. To have the place in semis we need to win atleast 3 out of 4 matchs. All the best kings.:-)

Your strategies seem inetllectual though I deem it ludicruous. The recent fiasco at Mumbai cannot be attributed to poor opening solely. A team like the CSKs which once vaunted of harbouring several anti disaster mechanisms now seem like jesters. It would only be fair to say that we underestimated the opponents. Mumbai Indians also tactfully reserved the runs powerhouse Sanath from bowling, thereby ensuring that he invested all his energy in pumping the runs. The outcome was an absulutely deplorable white wash of the Chennai SuperKings. It would be nothing short of an uphill task to stage a comeback from the humiliating debacle, that we faced, but then as the popular adidas slogan goes “Impossible is nothing”.

I would appreciate critical remarks being posted in this space as well, like the one Shiva has authored. The regional overtones of only Tamilians supporting the Kings have to be done away with as well. There are lots more of non Tamiillian fans for this team, like myself. We have owed allegiance to this team because we believe in the stupendous potential and the unparalleled calibre fostered by the Kings. Here’s hoping that the CSKs bounce back doing all the fans proud.

I think CSK is a good team. The only real problem that I see here is that the bowling looks depleted against hard hitting marauders like Surya n Sehwag on Indian wickets. Balaji & Gony r length bowlers.

Albie Morkel is not at all impressive as a bowler ,and like all South African cricketers not meant for pressure cooker situations. If at all we r including him in the side, it has to be for his batting abilities alone. We are fooling otherwise.

Ntini is a quick one-dimensional bowler who will do extremely good only on one special day. He is otherwise a misfit in a T20 team.

Murali has to fire for us to have any realistic chance of reaching the semis and should be brought right after the first 6 overs.
But, I seriously think that Albie Morkel & Ntini should sit out.
Fleming is a good thinker of the game & a decent bat.We should have faith in him. Dhoni has to give him the confidence , & he will deliver for sure. From the body language it does not look that Dhoni trusts him too much .And, it can’t be good for any player if the captain does not show enough faith in you.

    Cheers!
